Privacy policy
Last updated 8 October 2026. This covers Ringfall TD on the web (ringfalltd.com), on Android and on Steam.
In short
Ringfall TD keeps only what it needs for you to sign in, have a name others know you by, keep friends, keep a record of your games and keep play fair. It uses no third-party analytics or tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing. You can delete your account, and everything kept about it, at any time.
Signing in
You sign in with a Google account or a Steam account; the game has no passwords of its own.
- Google: sign-in goes through Google's Firebase Authentication, which holds your Google account's ID, email address, display name and profile picture so that you can sign in. The game itself uses your account ID, and your picture (shown beside your name). It doesn't store your email address, but the game's team can see it (from Firebase Authentication), to contact you about your account or a report.
- Steam: Steam confirms your SteamID to the game. If Steam provides them, the game also takes your Steam display name and avatar picture. A Steam sign-in keeps a sign-in token on your device; the server keeps only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it and when it was last used, and forgets it after 90 days unused or when you sign out.
What the game keeps about you
- Your account ID (from Google or Steam) and your profile picture's address.
- The player name you choose (which other players see, and find you by).
- Your friends list and friend requests, and the players you have blocked.
- Your record: games played, most waves held, creeps killed, best and average score (shown on the leaderboards).
- When your account was made and when you last signed in.
- If you broke the rules: whether your chat has been turned off.
Your settings (sound levels, graphics) are kept on your own device.
Chat and reports
Games in progress, the lobby's chat and private messages pass through the game server as they happen and are not saved. The server holds each player's last few lines of chat in its memory for a short while, so that a report can show what was said.
If you report a player, the game keeps the report: who sent it, who it is about, the reason and any note, and that player's recent chat lines (in the lobby and your game, and any private messages they sent you). The game's team reads reports to act on them. A report is deleted 90 days after it has been dealt with, or when the account that made it or the account it is about is deleted.
Anonymous game figures
To balance the game, the server also keeps anonymous figures from each game when it ends: how far the team got and how long it ran, which factions played, the team's total score, and totals such as towers built, damage done, creeps that got through and items found. They include nobody's name or account, so they aren't data about you, and they stay when an account is deleted.
Who else sees it
Other players see your name, picture, record and whether you're online, and what you say in chat. The game's team sees players' records, the email address of their Google account or their SteamID, and the reports sent in. The game runs on Google Cloud and Firebase (in the United States), which store and process this data for it. Steam sign-in goes through Valve. Nobody else receives your data.
Deleting your account
In the game, open account in the lobby and choose Delete my account. On the web, go to ringfalltd.com/delete-account. Your record, name, friends, friend requests, blocks, leaderboard places, Steam sign-in tokens and reports made by you or about you are deleted at once, and so is your Google sign-in to the game. Nothing about you is kept afterwards.
Children
Ringfall TD is not meant for children under 13, and does not knowingly keep data about them.
